Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Combined Raids by Banjarmasin city Police Resort arrested eight men suspected as market thugs.

Head of Police Operations Kompol Andri Koko Prabowo Sik MH here said thugs raided Wednesday (13/11) at around 13,30 until 15:00 in the markets of which Sudimampir market on Pangeran Samudera Street.

75 police officers took part in the operation. In the raid police arrested eight men allegedly thugs and part of their body covered with tattoos.

"We did this raid deliberately during the day because a lot of grievances, especially from traders, which unsettled by the presence of thugs. They often ask for money by the reason of security fees," he explained.

Furthermore, the eight men secured on Sabhara Police Force Banjarmasin for approximately 1x24 hours for a deterrent effect.

To them will do data collection and development by Community Development Unit Police Banjarmasin to no longer be a thug or criminal violation .

When examined later this thug does not have identity cards ( KTP ) will undergo minor criminal trial in the District Court of Banjarmasin .

Koko said , this thuggery operation will be routinely performed in order to maintain and preserve security and public order, especially in the city of Banjarmasin.
