Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced, the value of exports and imports of the province in September 2013 has increased.

"If the value of exports and imports of our province in August 2013 has decreased , but it was rising in September 2013," said South Kalimantan BPS Chief Dian Pramono Effendy here on Friday.

South Kalimantan export value in September 2013 recorded 600.68 million US dollars, up 13.29 percent compared to August 2013 with a value at 530.20 million US dollars.

"But the September 2013 value of exports fell 3.94 percent when compared to September 2012, which reached 625.29 million US dollars," he said in a press conference at the BPS Office at Jalan KS Tubun (Pekauman) Banjarmasin.

An increases also occurred in the value of imports of South Kalimantan in September 2013. It recorded at 230.29 million US dollars, up 4.37 percent compared to August 2013, when it amounted to 220.64 million US dollars.

The value of imports of South Kalimantan in September 2013 also decreased 43.54 percent compared to September 2012 when it reached 407.86 million US dollars.

Largest contributor to exports of September 2013 are mineral fuels with a value of 472.04 million US dollars. In addition, groups of fats and animal/vegetable oils with a value of 83.23 million dollars, as well as groups of seeds, crust and metal with a value of 22.50 million US dollars.

Main export destination countries in September 2013 are China with a value of 147.48 million US dollars, then to Japan with a value of 118.85 million US dollars and India with a value of 116.58 million US dollars. *** ***
