The District Government of Banjar through the Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) held a disaster alert ceremony as a form of disaster preparedness. 

The disaster preparedness ceremony was lead by Secretary of Banjar M Hilman and attended by Banjar Police Chief, Commander of 1006 Martapura Military Command, heads of government working units (SKPD), representatives of Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), and personnel of TNI (Armed Forces) and Polri (National Police). 

"The implementation of disaster management is not only the authority of the government, but it is the responsibility of all parties," the secretary remarked. 

It is, he said, in accordance with the mandate of Law No. 2004/2007 and Banjar District Regulation No.18 Year 2014 about organizing disaster management is not only the authority of the government but all parties.

Thus, he continued, in the event of disaster we all unite to move to help our brothers and sisters who effected by the disaster that can occur at any time.

"This standby ceremony is held as a form of responsibity and preparedness and to reduce risks and dangers in dealing with disasters," he pointed out. 

He called all parties to stay on disaster preparedness in order to reduce risks or losses arising from natural phenomenon.
