Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, 17/7 (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan government speed up the completion of construction of damaged roads to smooth flow of traffic for the Idul Fitri travelers (pemudik).
Head of South Kalimantan Public Works, Martin, here on Wednesday said, there are still some streets in the process of improvement.
To the south from Banjarmasin, Tanah Laut, Asam-Asam, Pagatan until Tanah Grogot there are some parts still broken, but in the D-7, repairation is expected to be completed.
There is only one point, namely the Jagung Bridge, Tanah Laut, despite accelerated development, it will not be resolved, so when crossing the bridge, people should be more careful.
To the central from Banjarmasin to Banua Anam headed to Batu Babi, the average road are good, as well as the direction of Barito Kuala up to Central Kalimantan border.
"Most of the roads of South Kalimantan are quite nice and smooth to the borders of Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan. I hope this will facilitate the travelers journey," he said.
However, Martin added, smooth road conditions at this time, could be re-perforated before Idul Fitri, given the frequent high intensity of rainfall. He urged the public should remain vigilant, during the trip, not to have a smooth road, it becomes the cause of the accident as riders raced faster.
As for areas prone to landslides, ie from Amuntai, North Hulu Sungai heading to Kelua, Tabalong, then Lumpangi, South Hulu Sungai towards Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu District, in the repair process.
