Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 10/7 (Antaranews) – Pasar Wadai Ramadan, a culinary tourism event, at the Martapura riverbank on the front of  Sabilal Muhtadin Mosque of Banjarmasin, open from afternoon to sahur (an early meal for fasting moslem).

"Many desire wadai market to open until dawn (sahur), if possible we will do," said Acting Head of Banjarmasin Cultures, Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency (Disbudparpora) Hermansyah told reporters on Wednesday.

This time, he said, the number of vendors who were selling in the market as many as 150 traders. Actually many other traders want to join Pasar Wadai Ramadhan, but because of the limited space they had to be rejected, because if forced it too dense and less well in the setting.

Wadai (cake) market this year is made differently and more festive than in previous years, not only presented a culinary shopping tour, but there will also be live entertainment, especially the art with religious nuances.

"We try to make Pasar Wadai this year be better and festive," promises Hermansyah who also served as Head of Market Management Agency.

Pasar Wadai  as an annual program to animate and enliven the holy month of Ramadan this year opened by Mayor Haji Muhidin on Wednesday afternoon.

The activity proved to be quite festive and culinary tourism which helps the economy. "Economic turnover is considerably well, which is certainly very helpful for small economies," he said.
