Banjarmasin (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) – A cargo ship docked at Sudimampir Pier Banjarmasin sank and there was no casualty in the incident.

Ship owner, H Wahidin, in Banjarmasin said his ship was sunk in the Martapura River estimated around 5.00 on Friday (28/6) morning.

"The ship is now being evacuated to remove the goods inside, and there was no casualties in the incident," he said when at the dock waiting for the evacuation of goods.

Wahidin also said the incident allegedly began sinking when the ship docked at Sudimampir Pier. At that time, there was a passing speedboat and cause waves. The ship allegedly swerved and the front hit the ironwood. The front of the ship broke and water started to enter the ship.

The estimated incidence of about 1.00 in the morning and around 5.00 the ship began to sink along the river when high tide.

"Fortunately all the goods in the ship belong to family, so the solution can be done amicably, without legal or other settlement," he said.

Explained, the content items that are in the ship including fabrics, pants, shirts, bags, mattresses and vegetables that plan would be brought to the subdistrict Aluh Aluh, Banjar District. Estimated losses I experienced hundreds of millions of rupiahs.
