After receiving the Nugra Jasadharma Pustaloka award from the Indonesian National Library, South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor said he is ready to spread a love of reading to encourge people, especially young generation, to love science.

"I am grateful to the government for trusting me by giving this award in the field of science," he remarked here, Friday. 

The governor hoped the recognation will be a motivation for the people in the province to keep working and make achievement, making sinergy and collaborating with all parties to escalate the quality of education.

Uncle Birin (a popular nickname of the governor) thanked the dedication of all education people and library people for transmitting the virus of optimism and reverberating reading culture in the province.

H Sahbirin Noor received the award as a public official. Also awarded with him West Java governor and Bali governor. The submission was held in the Malam Gemilang Perpustakaan Nasional (The Shining Night of National Library) event in the Ball Room of Jakarta Theater, Thursday (5/9).

He himself was represented by Asistant III for General Administration of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government H Heriansyah. 

Head of the National Library Muhammad Syarif Bando gave his appreciation to librarians and regional heads for their real concern to inspire the revival of reading love and their real attention to library institution.

The Malam Gemilang Perpustakaan Nasional was attended by Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Syafruddin and Indonesian Reading Ambassador Nazwa Shihab.
