Mayor H Ibnu Sina welcomed members of the International Affairs Office Forum (FKUI) with a gala dinner at the Anno House, the attraction of Siring Menara Pandang, Tuesday.
A total of 147 FKUI members, who came from various universities and polytechnics throughout Indonesia, gathered in Banjarmasin to attend the 5th workshop at Lambung Mangkurat University.
H Ibnu Sina welcomed them to the city of a thousand rivers. He explained about various things that exist in this city.
"This city is a city of trade and services. There is no coal, but the pulse of economic life goes on in Banjarmasin, because almost all regencies in the city, even from Central Kalimantan, also come to shop in this city," he remarked.
He hopes, all FKUI members feel at home while in this city. "Thank you for your presence in Banjarmasin," he concluded.
KUI is an important unit in every university. Its existence aims to accelerate the internationalization of higher education.
KUI annually holds activities with venues in various cities in Indonesia, according to members' proposals and agreements.
