Banjarbaru City soon has a tourist area which is named the culinary village of Kemuning as it was built along the banks of the Kemuning River which divides the local city center.


Banjarbaru Mayor Nadjmi Adhani said, the development of the culinary village tourism Kemuning as a step to reform, in addition to the government's efforts to improve people's welfare.

"On one side the banks of the Kemuning River is clean and organized with the existence of a culinary village, on the other hand the community can open a business so as to further improve their welfare," he said.

He said, the related offices had already socialized the development of the Kemuning Culinary Tourism Village (K3) which was held on Wednesday night (7/8) and his party was very supportive of the plan.

The third stage in the road map to improve the Kemuning river is to develop the economic development of the region so it grows and develops into a tourist area.

"After the Kemuning River area was liberated, built and repaired, the next stage is to develop the area so it will have an economic impact on the surrounding residents," he said.

The development of the tourism area of Kemuning Culinary Village will create alternative business opportunities to influence the increase in income and welfare of the surrounding community.

"We want a joint thought between the government and the community to make this area a culinary center. The river is good, the water is flowing clean, so the sustenance is flowing," he said.
