A national event for One Day Trail Adventure titled Explore Gula Habang Forest in Lampihong Sub-district, Balangan, Saturday (7/13), has attracted about 800 riders from all over Kalimantan.


"The enthusiasm of trail (dirt bike) lovers in this event is extraordinary, around 800 riders from the trail motorbike community from all over Kalimantan take part. Hopefully the event will run smoothly," said Balangan Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Moh Zamroni.

"This is an opportunity for us to introduce Balangan District in general, as well as Lampihong, which is famous for brown sugar or palm sugar," said Regent Balangan H Ansharuddin.

What's interesting about the trail motorbike adventure, which was held by the Stingray Trail Club (STC) motorbike community to welcome the 16th Anniversary of Balangan, officials also participated.

Even Regent H Ansharuddin and Police Chief AKBP Moh Zamroni, Deputy Speaker of DPRD M Noor Iswan, as well as the heads of agencies also tried the track using trail adventure.

Likewise the Liaison Officer of the Military Command (Kodim) 1001 Amuntai-Balangan, the Central Hulu Sungai DPRD speaker, the South Hulu Sungai DPRD speaker. While around 800 participants involved male and female riders, as well as children.

The distance traveled by riders along 57 km. The track they passed included Lampihong, Batumandi, Paringin and South Paringin Subdistricts which were divided into three zones.

The regent said, this trail adventure is a gathering place, as well as an opportunity to introduce custom, culture, friendliness, and various pluralities of Balangan residents.

"Surely if the participants have the opportunity to visit Balangan there will be a lot of natural attractions, unique culinary, cultural customs, religious tourism and so on as a reference for future visits at other times and occasions," he pointed out.

He hopes that Balangan will be more advanced, both human resources and its development are evenly distributed, in order to be able to compete with other regions in Indonesia, even Asia later
