Two students from SMK 2 Kandangan, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), Irliansyah and Muhammad Yusuf, made achievements in the National Vocational High School Student Competency Competition (LKS) in 2019.
The head of the HSS Education Office Nordiansyah in Yogyakarta, Friday (12/7), said Irliansyah won first place in Wall and Floor Tiling and Muhammad Yusuf in second place in Bricklaying.
The LKS is an annual competition among vocational school students in their field of expertise and is equivalent to OSN (National Science Olympiad) held for junior and high school (SMP and SMA). National level LKS winners will represent Indonesia to the ASEAN Skills and World Skills International Competition.
"We are grateful and congratulated for the achievement of our children, they can maintain these achievements and we do not forget to express our gratitude to the accompanying guidance teacher," he said, when contacted by telephone.

Previously, in the national LKS 2019 which took place in Yogyakarta from July 7 to 13, three students from SMK Kandangan 2 represented South Kalimantan namely Irliansyah in the Wall and Floor Tiling competition, Agus Maulana in Cabinet Making and Muhammad Yusuf in the Bricklaying competition .
Meanwhile two other SMK Negeri 2 Kandangan students, Mukhlis to compete in bricklaying and Akhmad Sayuti in wall and floor tiling to represent Indonesia in international LKS in Russia in 22-27 August 2019.
