Some English lecturers from the Banjarmasin Teacher Training College (STKIP-PGRI) teach English to children from poor family.


The social service was organized by Anak Bangsa Mandiri Banjarmasin Foundation. Here the underprivileged children are being guided by the foundation.

As many as 30 children who joined the training learn English dictionary they difficult to obtain before.

"The children of course can not afford to take an English Course with an expensive cost," said chief of the organizer Ninuk Krismanti in Banjarmasin, Monday.

"Our passion is to introduce English from an early age to underprivileged children, which is very important to be mastered in the era of globalization. It is hoped that they will be interested in deepening it in the future and ultimately changing their destiny for the better," she said.

The partnership between the Anak Bangsa Mandiri  Foundation and the English Language Study Program STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin took place since 2016.

The chairman of the foundation Irma Suryani was very grateful for the social service carried out by the campus which produces prospective teacher.

She hoped the similar activities to continue. Moreover, English language learning is very meaningful for the fostered children who enthusiastically follow it.
