Kotabaru, (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - Kotabaru District Police, South Kalimantan, will take firm action against persons who hoard fuel.

 

"We are preparing officers at every gas station is in Kotabaru," said Chief of  Kotabaru District Police Assistant Commissioner Rosyanto Yudha on Tuesday.

He said if there are two-wheeled vehicles and four-wheel caught repeatedly buying fuel, will be dealt with firmly as indicated as a principal fuel hoarders. The police will also crack down on anyone caught cheating at every gas station.

As a result of the act of the hoarders, fuel prices in some areas increased significantly. Long queues of vehicles both two-wheel and four were at every gas station since last few weeks.

"It not only has made the unrest among the people, but also has led to traffic jams," he said.

He expects the presence of officers in the field they can arrange buyers of fuel at the pump. Police deploy officers not to regulate, but for security and crack down on vehicle queuing repeatedly at every gas station, either to buy premium or diesel.

Chairman of Commission II Kotabaru House of Representative Syahdan Faruk said fuel reseller must be clear and show license to the gas station attendant. Reseller obliged to have permit from the village government and other relevant agencies.
