Martapura, South Kalimantan (Antaranews.Kalsel) - A total of five rare deer breeding in the protected forest, Forest Park (Tahura) Sultan Adam, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan.

Antara reporter’s, who follow the activities of green pen community to a location of Tahura Sultan Adam, Sunday, saw five deer looks healthy and fat.

The five tailed deer, wandering on the edge of the road to Tahura so that visitors can see deer easily big and blackish gray colored them.

Of the five two-tailed deer can be seen with long horns and branches, and the animal does not seem affected by the arrival of visitors to the forest education, forest research, and tourism.

Evidently these animals still enjoying the grass and foliage shrubs at the site area of approximately 112 thousand hectares of it.

Head of Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Tahura Sultan Adam , Ahmad Ridhani, said the type of five deers was Sambar deer and taken from Central Kalimantan and East Kalimantan. Sambar is found only on two islands in Indonesia: Borneo and Sumatra. They were captive to the interests of conservation, and education for visitors.
