Head of the agency Ir Ali Jamil here on Sunday said, BKP is committed to improving quarantine services to accelerate the export process. Not only agricultural commodities, but all commodities across sectors, including forestry and fisheries commodities.

"Our parameter is as long as export destination countries require Phytosanitary Certificates (PCs) on export documents, so whatever commodity we will help facilitate inspection until the issuance of their PCs," Jamil said when releasing exports.

On the contrary if the export destination country does not require a PC in export documents, it is not necessary to go through agricultural quarantine even though it is an agricultural commodity.

The export release this time consisted of gelinggang leaves for Japanese destination worth IDR336 million and plywood worth IDR1.7 billion to USA.
