Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The 1008 Tanjung Military Command (Kodim) with its community service TNI Membangun Desa (TMMD) has finally completed the construction of a road body that connects Hayub Village with Ribang Village, Haruai Sub-district, Tabalong, South Kalimantan.


The 1008 Tanjung Military Commander (Dandim) Lt. Col. Arm Eddy Susanto said the construction of a 1,840-meter road body could be completed on time thanks to the hard work of the 104th TMMD task force members and residents.

"The hard work of the task force members has yielded and residents could use this road to transport agriculture produce," Eddy explained.

Previously the road was a footpath and could only be crossed by two-wheeled vehicles because of muddy conditions and filled with thickets.

After the construction of the road by Kodim 1008 Tanjung through the TMMD program, the residents of Hayub Village felt the impact in supporting local economic activities.

"Plantation products are easier to transport with travel time faster thanks to the construction of this road," said one resident of Hayub Village, Wardiono.

The rubber farmer also thanked the presence of the TMMD task force in Hayup Village with the road and bridge infrastructure development program.

Even villagers also get free medical services till insight about the danger of drug and radicalism.
