Amuntai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Government of North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan, is still sharpening its potential till they ready to be offered to local and foreign investors.
The Head of the Capita Investment, One-Stop Integrated Services and Manpower Agency (DPMPTSP Naker) Muhammad Syarif Fajerian Noor in Amuntai on Wednesday said the General Investment Plan (RUPM) is being prepared.
"We are preparing the stages for investment readiness, so investors are interested in investing in our area," he remarked.
Syarif said that an attractive investment offered to investors is related to agriculture, fisheries and livestock, because of the potential of 89 percent of swamps area of the HSU.
So far, he said, agricultural and fishery products and livestock are quite abundant, but are still constrained by the marketing and development of processed products.
"Actually, the business of providing fish and livestock feed and processing the agricultural products is quite potential to be worked on by investors," he pointed out.
He hopes to be able to work together and get a supply of information and data from several working units (SKPD), such as the Agriculture Agency, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry Agency, and Tourism Agency regarding the potential that can be sold to investors.
It is said the use of swamp land for certain investments is currently constrained by national spatial planning, while swamp land is partly categorized as protected forest, thus it is limited to agricultural development alone.
Syarif asserted that the presence of investors is very important to move the economy of the community, starting from providing employment, stimulating various related businesses and others.
He hopes that the promotion carried out outside the region does not only emphasize the product and marketing aspects but also on aspects of the introduction of regional potential.
