The high court employee, Dewi (29), said the fire up to the afternoon when working hours ended at 5:00 pm had not been extinguished and still continued to creep into the dry bush due to the dry season.
While the firefighter's cars that came were unable to break through the burning bush because there was no road access. They only spray water from a distance.
However, officers from the Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the task force for forest and land fire (Karhutla) prevention continued to be alert, said Dewi.
The offices of PT and PTA, which were previously in Banjarmasin, have just one year moved to Banjarbaru. Both are in the central office area of the South Kalimantan provincial government.
Meanwhile, on the same day, forest and land fire also occurred in other places in South Kalimantan, including in Banjar District and Barito Kuala (Batola) District.
The firefighters in Banjarmasin were busy to help extinguish the forest fires, as happened in the Alalak and Madastana, Batola.
