Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor declared a green revolutionary movement which he initiated is to address rapidly and precisely the various environmental damage in the province, which consist of 13 districts and cities.


In his speech read by his deputy, H Rudy Resnawan, at the plenary session of South Kalimantan DPRD, he stated, the movement is the most effective effort to restore the South Kalimantan nature of about 3.7 million hectares to be sustainable.

The plenary meeting led by the deputy chairman Asbullah AS SH in Banjarmasin on Monday, in connection with the legalization of the Bill on the Green Revolution into a local regulation.

The draft regulation from the provincial government is of concern to the increasingly alarming situation and condition of South Kalimantan.

"The natural damages of South Kalimantan due to the management of natural resources that do not care about the preservation of the environment and we now feel the impact," said Sahbirin Noor.

The draft regulation special committee headed by Dr. H. Karlie Hanafi Kalianda SH MH stated, the green revolution movement is integrated and comprehensive.

"The movement of the green revolution is not only on forests and critical land, but also forests and city parks, yard and roadside," said the Golkar Party of South Kalimantan DPRD Faction Chairman.

In South Kalimantan, which is the oldest province in Kalimantan, there are hundreds of thousands of hectares of critical land, both inside and outside the forest area.
