Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The occupancy rate of star hotel rooms (TPK) in South Kalimantan in February reached 55.43 percent, up 11.77 percent compared to January at 43.66 percent.
"Compared to the room occupancy rate in February 2017 of 45.92 percent, then the occupancy in February 2018 rose by 9.51 percent," said Head of South Kalimantan Central Statistic Agency (BPS) Diah Utami in Banjarbaru, Wednesday.
She remarked the highest occupancy achieved by the group of three-star hotels by 64.43 percent, while the lowest occurred to the one-star hotel by 23.53 percent.
When compared to the previous month, occupancy rate of one-star hotels decreased by 7.75 percent, while the other hotel classification has increased.
"The increase in the occupancy for classification of four-star hotels rose by 18.88 percent, the classification of three-star hotels rose by 12.97 percent, and the classification of two stars rose 4.54 percent," she said.
She also mentioned the average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests in February did not rise, the highest two-star hotel for 1.56 nights, the lowest four-star hotel for 1.52 nights.
The non-star hotel occupancy rate in February was 26.40 percent or decreased 0.78 percent compared to January with the rate of 27.18 percent.
While the average length of stay of foreign and domestic guests at non-star hotels reached 1.17 nights or decreased 0.12 nights compared to January at 1.29 nights.
