Martpura, S Kalimantan 13/9 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Two motorcyclists were killed after crashing into a parking dump truck on the Jalan Gubernur Syarkawi or North Ring Road, Sungai Tabuk, Banjar District, South Kalimantan.


Banjar Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Takdir Mattanete in Martapura on Wednesday said the deadly accident that claimed two lives occurred on Wednesday (13/9) at 01.30 am.

"The victim died were Efendi (22 years) and Lahmudin (22 years), residents of Sungai Rangas Village, West Martapura," said police chief accompanied by Sungai Tabuk Police Chief Adj Comr (AKP) Siti Rohayati.

He said the bodies of the two victims had been taken by the family for burial on Wednesday afternoon.

When the incident, both riding motorcycle Yamaha Vixion DA 3367 WH which came from the direction of the Sungai Tabuk to the Gambut Sub-district.

According to the sector police chief, both victims were killed at the scene after the motor driven by Efendi crashed into the back of the dump truck that was parked on the road.

While at the scene, a dump truck type of yellow Mitsubishi with police number KT 8846 BM driven Try Setiyadi parked on the road with almost no lighting.

"The situation at the scene was a bit dark and allegedly the motorcycle driver was not paying attention to the dump truck that was parked till the deadly collision happened," said police chief.
