Adaro provides sanitation for remote community

Tanjung, South Kalimantan 1/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Adaro Indonesia provided supporting facilities for Isolated Customary Communities (KAT) in Hamlet Sialing, Nawin Village, Haruai Sub-district, Tabalong, South Kalimantan.

"The assistance from our Corporate Social responsibily (CSR) program is in the form of clean water facility, sanitation and latrines," explained Head of External Relations of PT Adaro Indonesia Rizki Dartaman in Tanjung, Wednesday.

The assistance is given considering they do not have proper sanitation facilities, including access to clean water. The handover was done in conjunction with the visit of the Minister of Social Khofifah Indar Parawansa in KAT.

A total of 45 family received assistance from the Ministry of Social also got help with household appliances.

Tabalong Regional Secretary Abdul Muttalib Sangadji said appropriate housing and its supporting facilities will facilitate their activities.

Such sharing models between government funding through local government funds and the state budget as well as businessmen, said Sangadji, is a synergy that must continue to be built.

In the KAT location of Sialing Hamlet is also built other facilities, integrated health services posts (posyandu) and auxiliary health center (puskesmas pembantu).

With houses now provided, KAT who have been living separated and away from access to education and health would be helped.
