Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 31/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Immigration has deported 10 Chinese nationals, one of them was fined before their flight to the origin state.


Head Supervision and Enforcement Section of the Immigration Office Mulyadi here on Tuesday said the Chinese national was fined because of overstay.

"One of the 10 Chinese we deported was fined by Rp5.4 millions for excess of his stay permit in Indonesia," he said.

According to the Law No 6/2011 on Immigration, he said, foreign nationals who excess stay permit will be fined by Rp300 thousand per day, and the Chinese has excess 18 days over his visa of visit.

"So, in addition of being deported to his country, he must pay the fine which amount is regulated by the law," he explained.

Meanwhile, the repatreation of ten Chinese by Immigration Office Class I Banjarmasin at 18.30 on Tuesday from Syamsudin Noor Airport has done well.

They were escorted by six officers from Foreigners Control (Pora) team to Jakarta until they saw them on their plane to China.

Mulyadi said, all expense of deportation charge upon the foreigners and they were monitored till they got on the plane from Soekarno-Hatta international airport for a flight to China.

As is known, Pora team officials led by the Head Section of Supervision and Enforcement Mulyadi together with Cempaka Sector Police arrested ten Chinese.

"When arrested, they can not speak Indonesian and could not show and hand over travel documents or stay permits," said Mulyadi.
