Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai Narcotics Agency (BNNK-HSS) will expand rehabilitation to help cure addicts not only in urban but also rural areas.


Head of BNNK-HSS Maserup in Kandangan on Monday said it would expand rehab and outpatient care at three points, namely Puskesmas (community health center) Padang Batung, Puskesmas Angkinang, and Daha Sejahtera Hospital.

Expansion of rehabilitation at the three points, he added, in order to facilitate a closer range of services and prevention of drug abuse, including G-class drug.

By this work, people from Loksado who need treatment can come to Puskesmas Padang Batung, for people in sub-district Telaga Langsat can go to Puskesmas Angkinang, while residents in Daha area can come to the Daha Sejahtera Hospital.

"We wish the people can take benifit of this service to save them from drug abuse, also do not be afraid to report and to be rehabilitated," he said.

According to Maserup, BNN has conducted a variety of activities, including prevention, rehabilitation, and eradication of narcotics.

He reveals, for the eradication of G-class drugs such as zenith and carnophen is BNN authorization. However its rehab can go through outpatient and inpatient care in H. Hasan Basry hospitals Kandangan for free.

"If it's severe could be referred to the Sambang Lihum Hospital. As for special abuse of narcotics such as morphine, methamphetamine (sabu-sabu), and others could be sent to the Drug Rehabilitation Center Lido Bogor," he said.

BNNK, he added, also has synergy together with the Police and the Provincial BNN and plans to carry out investigation.

Earlier, after the inauguration on 30 September 2016, Maserup along with Head of Rehabilitation Agus Rahmadi and Head of Prevention and Community Empowerment Yasir Arafat paid a visit to the HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry in his office, Thursday (3/11).
