Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan Antaranews) - Warden of Martapura Juvenile Correctional Facility (LPKA) spotted a man who threw a package suspected of crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) into the prison.


"I was having a guest at the front porch of the home office and accidentally seeing a man in the dark outside the walls of the prison was throwing something, then I chased and the man had fled," said the head of the Martapura Juvenile Correctional Facility (LPKA) Trisaptono here on Friday.

He said after the pitcher was not captured, he immediately gathered officers and checking into the prison on Thursday (1/9) night, around 20:00 pm.

"We checked in the area of children in nearby block A4 and A5 in the prison," he told Antaranews reporter.

He continued to say, after seaching the block they did not found the package thrown by someone from outside the prison walls.

Then the search was forwarded to the roof of blocks A4 and A5 with full accuracy and they eventually found the package in which there was a small box.

"We did not dare open and we directly contact police chief. After the police chief came with his members, it open and it turns out two packages of sabu-sabu," he said.

The police chief immediately conducted an investigation through CCTV and seen an inmate, KDG, sneaked with a PVC pipe to where the package toss.

The inmate was then called, but he did not admit that paralon he brought to retrieve the package stuck on the roof.

"From the information we got the thrower from outside wall of the prison was known with initials IKS. He is a former convict and has just been free," he said.

Trisaptono said the case was handed over to the police for further investigation. While the penitentiary will improve security, especially in area outside the prison walls.
