Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Arutmin Indonesia NLPLC Kotabaru trained the Mutiara Sarangtiung Community Forest (HKM) cliff rescue team in Mamake Hill tourist area.
"Mamake (and Bapake) Hills are tourist attractions, so their managers must be equipped victims rescue skills," said PT Arutmin NPLCT CDEA Supervisor Yogi Swara Putra Mendra in Kotabaru, Wednesday.
He said the training aimed to train them how to save visitors from possible accidents.
"There are 16 participants from Mamake and Bapake, and currently these two attraction are leading destination in Kotabaru. We have to anticipate undesiable things to happen," he said.

He added that this is Arutmin's CDCSR program to train turist attraction managers who are members of HKM Mutiara Sarantiung Mamake and Bapake Hills which is under the guidance of the company.
"The material includes high angle rescue about rescue at height," said health safety environment and security instructor Adam.
This is a basic material, because the topography of Mamake and Babake Hills has many cliffs and are steep, hence the implementation includes slope rescue, one way of rescuing victims when they fall below and rescuing them from the top.
"There two alternative to rescue the victims from the top or below," he said.
Chairman of HKM Mutiara Sarangtiung Abdul Mulud said the training was very helpful in dealing with accidents in the attraction area.
"I am very grateful to have received this training , so that we have skills in the fied of rescuing accident victims in the tourists area," he said.
