Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Cellular operator Telkomsel held an iftar roadshow with 9,000 orphans in six cities in Indonesia, including in Banjarmasin.


In Banjarmasin, Telkomsel's roadshow conducted by distributing pocket money and school supplies to 350 orphans from the orphanage Al Amin, Muhammadiyah, Hope's mother, Al Muddakir, Al Hidayah, Al Risalah, Al Ikhsan and Noble Warrior.

"Through this roadshow we want to serve and to share happiness with orphans, as well as mosques and foundations in need of assistance as a form of gratitude for the trust of customers and the community to Telkomsel," said President Director of Telkomsel Ririek Adriansyah who was in Banjarmasin accompanied by Director of Marketing Arlinston Johnson and Director of HCM Priyantono Rudito.

Telkomsel in its Ramadan 1437 Hijri Roadshow here held iftar with orphans at the Grand Mosque of Sabilal Muhtadin, Thursday (30/6), which was attended by the Mayor Ibnu Sina.

"Thanks Banjarmasin is one of six cities selected as Telkomsel roadshow destination. The presence of Telkomsel top officials became our spirit as the Best River City in Indonesia," said Mayor.

Telkomsel also distributed 21 tons of dates as takjil (iftar dishes) delivered to 12 mosques in 12 areas that represent the west to east Indonesia. These 12 regions are Banda Aceh, Medan, West Sumatera, Jakarta, Cirebon, Semarang, Surabaya, Madura, Mataram, Banjarmasin, Makassar and Sorong.

Besides iftar with orphans, directors and management of Telkomsel reviewing several locations of network infrastructure Base Station Controller (BSC) and Base Transceiver Station (BTS) as well as service centers GraPARI to ensure network and service readiness during Ramadan and Eid.
