Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) apprehended two crystal methamphetamine carriers who belong to Aceh drug ring when they transacted in Syamsudin Noor Airport, Banjarbaru.


"The crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) carrier is from Aceh, while the recipient is from Banjarmasin," said BNNP South Kalimantan Chief Commissioner Police Arnowo  in Banjarmasin on Thursday.

The two inter-provinces sabu-sabu dealers, he said, were arrested on Tuesday around 20:00 pm.

The perpetrators were arrested while trying to deal at airport area and from them found the evidence in the form of sabu-sabu weighing 503 grams and cash money as much as Rp3 million .

The perpetrators were then known as Rizal Fahmi alias Fahmi (21), a resident of Aceh Besar, and Faisal Ansari alias Faisal (40), resident of Lokasi 2, Banjarmasin.

How can Fahmi passed the examination in Medan airport and bring illicit goods up to the province? Arnowo explained that he used a mode by hiding sabu-sabu in his shoes and each shoe filled with 2.5 ounces of crystal meth.

"After we found the evidence, the two directly brought to BNNP for further examination," he said.

Fahmi and Faisal charged with Article 132 and Article 114 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics, under penalty of a minimum of 6 years in prison.

Meanwhile, Fahmi confessed the illicit goods brought from Medan for behest of Hanapi and he was given Rp5 million to deliver the crystal meth to Banjarmasin.

"I've received Rp2 million as down payment so that I flew to Banjarmasin to deliver the goods," he said while in the BNNP investigator's room.

He said he was tempted by high payment, while he need money, let alone his daily life as a farmer.

Faisal also confessed he only the messenger. He has been twice received sabu-sabu from the field and each job he was paid Rp1 million.
