Director of Commercial and Sales Marketing Division Manager of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Troy Dartojo Soputro revealed on Friday, the company in collaboration with Polytechnic Banjarmasin and Construction Services Development Board (LPJK) of South Kalimantan opened the School of Cement Tiga Roda Construction Workers (Setara).
"The Setara is an activity of Competence Facility for Stone Concrete Foreman Using Mobile Training Unit (MTU)," he explained.
The launching of Setara is expected to enhance the ability and knowledge of construction workers in Indonesia to create skilled workers who are ready to compete.
"The presence of Setara has a value of more professional, quality to achieve customer satisfaction in building a better life in accordance to Indocement motto namely, Co-Build Quality of Life," said Troy Dartojo accompanied by Corporate Secretary of PT Indocement, Pigo Pramusakti.
He explained Setara participants not only gain knowledge in the field of construction skills, but also given training regarding legislation on construction services, the practice of health and safety working (K3), construction management, budgets planning and submission of tenders, entrepreneurship and the latest product applications in the world of construction.
In addition to Banjarmasin, Setara program has been conducted in 5 batches, namely Bandung (batch 1-2), Malang (batch 3), Semarang (batch 4), Denpasar (batch 5), and is now implemented in Banjarmasin (batch 6).
The program in the hall at the Polytechnic Banjarmasin followed by 100 participants took place 14-16 December 2015.
