Martapura, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Health is ready to meet the need of the Government of Banjar District for vaccines to be administered to the public to prevent them from COVID-19.
"We are ready to fulfill all requests for COVID-19 vaccine from the Banjar government. We will send the vaccine immediately," said the Ministry of Health's Director-General of Disease Control and Prevention (P2P) Maxi Rein Rondonuwu, Tuesday, when receiving Deputy Regent of Banjar Said Idrus Al Habsyie in Jakarta.
He said he had ordered his ranks to immediately prepare the vaccine according to Banjar's request and asked if has made a preparation when the vaccine is fully delivered to the district.
"The most importnt is the storage place is prepared, especially since the Pfizer vaccine has only one month after it out of the special refrigerator. So it must be used," he reminded.
Previously, Deputy Regent Said Idrus Al Habsyie said thatBanjar has the second largest population i South Kalimantan and needs a lot of vaccine to be inoculated into the community.
"Currently, the stock of vaccine is only about a thousand, so we need a lot of vaccine. We have asked for additional 811,000 doses of vaccine to complete the first, the second and the booster dose vaccination, including for children," he said.
