We look at the internal control system of PDAM throughout South Kalimantan are still weak. That must be addressed to better performance and service,"
Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Deputy Head of State Accountant Division of BPKP Representative of South Kalimantan Gatot Darmasto asked PDAM or local water companies throughout the province to fix their internal control system (SPI).

"We look at the internal control system of PDAM throughout South Kalimantan are still weak. That must be addressed to better performance and service," he said in Banjarbaru on Monday.

Gatot Darmasto, on the sidelines of the signing of cooperation agreement between the BPKP and all South Kalimantan PDAM CEOs, said the powerful SPI make the organization better and have impact on overall assessment of the taps more positive.

"Today taps financial management throughout South Kalimantan received unqualified opinion (WTP or the best level of accountability) but SPI is still weak, so WTP opinion quite doubtful," he said.

He emphasized, WTP opinion is not the final destination. Instead of water services provided to the public is the actual final destination.

"So do not be proud to achieve WTP opinion, because of the good opinion it is not a guarantee there is no corruption and unscrupulous officials could be suspected," he said.

He said, revamping SPI and evaluation required as a precautionary measure, so that no irregularities that could harm the country's finances.
