Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of the Banjarmasin Agriculture and Fisheries Doyo Pudjadi stated South Kalimantan's capital can be said to have been safe from circulation apples contain the deadly Listeria.

"We always do sudden inspection from fruit shops to minimarket related to the circulation of this apples and the result is no longer sold suspected apples under the brand names Royal Gala and Granny Smith," he said, Wednesday (4/2) in Banjarmasin.

According to him, after his party along with other relevant agencies do America's apples eradication, fruit vendors seem to be aware to not sell them as they harmful to the health of consumers.

"We're not just doing the inspection, but also to supervise secretly against fruit merchant, and it looks like nothing else is selling two types of apples thought to contain the bacteria," he said.

He asserts, for those who still sell two types of apples that nationally declared containing bacteria were forced to be confiscated and destroyed.
