Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - 19 polling stations (TPS) in Tapin District are located in blank spot areas where internet signal is difficult.
These polling stations are located in three sub-districts, namely Piani, Hatungun, and Bungur.
"In Piani there are 11 TPS, Hatungun 6, and Bungur 2 (were in the blank spot)," said Chairman of Tapin General Election Commission (KPU) Hj Henny Hendriyanti in Rantau, Wednesday (Dec 9, 2020).
The polling station working committees at the blank spot areas, she said, have to find where the internet network works to report the voting results.
"After calculating, they have to find point where the internet signal is strong to report the results," said Henny again.
In addition, the Tapin KPU provided internet voucher of Rp25 thousand which were distributed at each TPS, to make it easier for TPS officers to report to KPU.
"We distributed internet voucher to all of our polling stations," he said.
A total of 132,188 residents of Tapin were registered as voters in the 2020 election for governor and deputy governor of South Kalimantan. The Tapin KPU has prepared 469 TPS for the 2020 simultaneous regional elections.
