Export Value Down And Import Up

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) revealed, the value of exports from the province dropped and imports rose in April 2014. It is the opposite of March 2014, when exports rose and imports fell.
In April 2014, the South Kalimantan value of exports 709.90 million US dollars, down 15.37 percent compared to March 2014, said Head of BPS Dyan Pramono Effendi here on Monday.
While the value of exports of South Kalimantan in March 2014 reached 838.88 million US dollars or 18.85 percent increase compared to 2014 Ferbuari only 705.85 million US dollars.
In contrast to the value of imports in April 2014 amounted to 264.91 million US dollars, up 35.50 percent compared to March 2014 which only reached 195.50 million US dollars.
The main contributor to the largest export commodity in April 2014 were mineral fuels with a value of 613.70 million US dollars, groups of fats and oils of animal/vegetable 68.31 million US dollars, as well as groups of wood and products of wood with a value of 18.47 million US dollars.
The main countries of export destination in April 2014 to China with a value of 233.55 million US dollars, 174.87 million dollars to India, and Japan 94.22 million US dollars.
While most major commodities imported in April 2014 were mineral fuels with a value of 250.21 million US dollars. Then the mechanical equipments 6.84 million US dollars, and the group of electric machine/equipments 2.40 million US dollars.
The main supplier countries imported products in April 2014 from Singapore 215.02 million US dollars, 35.18 million dollars from South Korea and China 9.88 million US dollars.
Based on the value of exports and imports, South Kalimantan trade balance in April 2014 had a surplus of 445.18 million US dollars, according to Dyan Pramono Effendi.
