Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan contingent targeting to win four gold in 2014 National Pencak Silat Championship.

"We are targeting four gold in National Championship later," said Djumaderi Masrun, Vice Chairman IPSI South Kalimantan.

South Kalimantan, with a contingent of 30 athletes, take part in the National Championship in the hermitage of Pencak Silat TMII Jakarta, May 11 to 15, 2014. The athletes will descend on the nine numbers of individuals and teams.

Four gold targets expected to be achieved in equal numbers F grade for men and women, women's art team and individual male art.

"The event is a pre-qualification test before PON (the National Games)," added Djumaderi Masrun.

In addition to sending 30 athletes, South Kalimantan referees also send three judges who will be on duty during championship.

South Kalimantan Pencak Silat Contingent will be released by Governor Rudy Ariffin who is also Chairman of IPSI (the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association) South Kalimantan in the hall Abdi Persada Banjarmasin on Thursday (8/5).

For 2014 PON I for Teens in East Java, IPSI South Kalimantan prepares 26 athletes to be selected to 20 athletes to be sent.
