Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Rainfall flushed Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, which resulted in almost the entire region flooded on Thursday reached highs record during the last five years.
"Rainfall in the City Banjarbaru reached a high record since 2008," said Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) Climatological Station Class I Banjarbaru Purwanto Thursday.
He said, flushed rainfall in Banjarbaru City reached 213.9 millimeters for one day, while in 2008 the highest rainfall
was only 178.2 millimeters in one day.
He explained, high rainfall and causing huge volumes of water poured from the sky that includes the category of
heavy rain, and extreme intensity classified as rain which flushed continuously.
