Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The drunks were the most widely caught when police conducted a joint raid against the society's disease or criminals (or known by acronym Pekat).

Head of Banjarmasin Police Operations, Commissioner Andre Koko Prabowo MH Sik here on Sunday said each unit and Polsekta (city's sectors police) in the area of Banjarmasin Resort City Police on Saturday (7/12 ) evening around 22:00 staged a raid as part of the so-called Pekat security operation.

In the raid, Banjarmasin police secure many violators, but the vast majority were binge drinking.

Koko said, Central Banjarmasin Sector Police securing four anonymous street singers, three people drunk liquor, five punk children, one motorcycle without a warrant.

North Banjarmasin Polsekta securing 8 people drunk aldo and traditional alcoholic beverage (tuak), while West Banjarmasin Polsekta nabbed 4 drunks after securing liquor.

South Banjarmasin Polsekta and Sabhara Units and Police Criminal Investigation Unit in 'Pekat raids' managed to secure 11 drunkards with different scene.

Not only that, Banjarmasin Unit for Harbour Security Police (KPPP) secured one motorcycle without warrant and do not use the police number, also securing a woman (40), a resident of North Banjarmasin caught bringing 2 Zenit pills.

All results are in function units conducted raids and the Polsekta in Banjarmasin was the culprit handled according to each jurisdiction in which the incident .

"Raids like this will continue to be undertaken in routine, for the creation and maintenance of security and public order in the city of Banjarmasin, " he told Antaranews.

The liquor drunkards certainly faced firm sting. Banjarmasin Police and all ranks will crack down on the ground or in the investigation of the offenders and criminals who disturbing the public, said Koko.
