Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Banjarbaru government will gradually dissolve cooperatives that are inactive, either because of unobviously management and business stalled or jammed.
"Cooperatives that are inactive either because the management scattered and or business cease to exist will be abolished gradually," said the Head of Banjarbaru Cooperatives and SMEs Agency Muhammad Fachruddin here on Sunday.

He said the number of cooperatives still recorded as many as 151 units. Those still active are 110, while the 41 cooperatives declared defunct, either its management or its business units.

The cause of not active, he said, because dozens of cooperative institutions that shelter has been abolished or merged. So that, cooperative management scattered by itself, but the name and identification number remains registered.

"In pretty much of departmental offices and central offices they have cooperatives but after the agency was abolished or merged, the cooperative is not active anymore," he said.

He said, even though they no longer active and its officials broke up, but the name and identification number of cooperatives are still registered in the Ministry of Cooperatives that dissolution must go through appropriate procedures and stages.
