Banjarbaru, 6/7 (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Region South and Central Kalimantan Yuddy Setyo Wicaksono ensure that the power supply for the two provinces will be safe during Ramadan.
"Power supply for southern and central Kalimantan safe during Ramadan, because we possessed sufficient power even there is still a considerable power reserves," he said in here on Saturday.
He said the PT PLN power capability through the electrical system Barito reach 510 Mega Watt (MW) derived from several power plants operated by the state owned company. While the electricity needs for the two neighboring provinces during peak load only 400 MW, so there is still 110 MW of a power reserve that could be used in the event of disruption.
PLN has a Steam Power Plant (PLTU) Asamasam units 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) Ir PM Noor. In addition, Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) and Acces Power plants operated with fuel oil or Marine Fuel Oil (MFO).
"Whole plant operation are normal and there is no planned maintenance to performe during Ramadan, so the outage is not expected to occur except due to non-technical factors," he said.
