Kotabaru, (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - The Kotabaru Administration plant 2,000 red bud tree (Syzygium Oleana) in the area of Batu Belinkun, Sebelimbingan.

Head of Kotabaru Environmental Agency (BLHD), Hj Maslenawati, here on Monday said the flowers red buds planting will be centered in Belikun Stone, which is planned to be the central offices and housing for civil servants (PNS).

"We select the region, as a strategic place, and the land is fertile," she said

She hopes the public can preserve nature by planting trees around their homes.

Previously, Regent Kotabaru H Irhami Ridjani said red bud tree seedlings will be planted along the new development area in Sebelimbingan.

According to Irhami, red bud trees are ornamental plants recently developed in several regions in Indonesia. In addition to beautiful flowers, it also serves to protect the environment, and beautify the area of Batu Belinkun.

The red bud trees were a grant from the coal company PT Adaro, in Tabalong, South Kalimantan.

With a red bud tree, Irhami hope, can beautify the new city area in Sebelimbingan.
