"If we compare with 2018, child crime cases are expected to increase," he said here on Tuesday.
There are 20 cases of children as perpetrators of crimes in general in 2018, while this year up to July twenty cases have been recorded with perpetrators of minors.
"Seeing the data in Satreskrim (Criminal Investigation Unit) does not rule out the possibility of an increase until the end of 2019," he said.
According to him, the triggers of general crimes with child perpetrators include alcoholic beverages and the effect of sucking chemical glue.
Whereas immoral crimes with child offenders are caused by the freedom to play social media and open the internet without parental supervision.
He appealed to all parties to care for children so that crime cases with child offenders did not increase.
Currently, conventional criminals, including motorbikes theft, have begun to use child in crime. This is evidenced by the case of car theft with perpetrators of minors captured by the Satreskrim Police of Banjarmasin.
"At the moment of National Children's Day, let's care for the children together so that they don't fall into the world of crime," he appealed.
