HSS adds free school bus

Kandangan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Regent South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H Achmad Fikry officiated the use of a new school bus for students on the Bangkau-Kandangan-Bangkau route.


With the addition of a new school bus, which is provided free for students in the district, the HSS government now has six free school buses.

"This is the realization of the promise of the Regent and Deputy Regent in accordance with HSS's Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) 2018-23," said the Head of the Education Agency Nordiansyah in Bangkau, Monday (7/15).

"The new school bus is the third provided by PT Antang Gunung Meratus through its CSR in an effort to provide convenience to students going to school," he said.

Bangkau-Kandangan route is chosen for quite a distance forchildren who go to schools in Kandangan. Based on Kandangan Sub-district head, in Bangkau Village starting from RT 4 to RT 1 there were 37 students attending schools in Kandangan City.

Free school buses are provided to reduce the cost of parents. Also for students who ride a motorcycle, but don't have driver's license (SIM), to switch to a free bus.

Regent H. Achmad Fikry thanked PT AGM for the third school bus. He hoped there would be more transportation provided to other communities in HSS.

"We hope that PT. AGM will, through CSR funds, provide small-sized buses for Daha, because the roads in the Daha area are still small," he said.

Also present at the inauguration was Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, District Secretary HMNoor, PT AGM Director of External Affair Yayan Suryana, government working organization (OPD heads, Kandangan Sub-district Head Ronaldy Prana Putra, Daha Selatan Sub-District Head Akhmad Sapuan, Bangkau Village Head and surrounding community members
