Regent Tapin M Arifin Arpan appreciates PT AGM's concern for the environment in the district which is considered quite large.


One of them, said the Regent after planting trees in the ecotourism area of bekantan on Earth Day, was the cultivation in the Bekantan Ecotourism area which in several years showed remarkable development.

In the framework of Earth Day, environmental groups planted trees with the regent and the ranks of PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM), Saturday (04/27). A total of 150 Pulantan trees were planted in the ecotourism area in Lok Buntar, South Tapin Sub-district.

The groups involved include the South Kalimantan Komunitas Pena Hijau Indonesia (Green Pen Community), the Forest Protect Foundation, and the Fokum Komunitas Hijau (Green Community Forum) Green Go Bastari.

Also present were the Chairwoman of the Tapin TP-PKK and deputy, the Rantau 1010 District Military Chief of Staff, and the Lok Buntar Sub-district head.

The planting of trees simultaneously in 100 cities throughout Indonesia was filled with submissions of the Kalimantan Forest Fruit Book compiled by Hanif Wicaksono.

The Director of the External Affair of PT Antang Gunung Meratus Benito Mangkisubroto who was present at the event said, his party continued to encourage and promote greening, one of which was the development of this ecotourism area.

Bekantan Ecotourism, which has an area of 90 hectares, is currently planted with around 200 different types of trees.

"As AGM representatives, we welcome and thank the Regent of Tapin, the PKK ranks and other colleagues such as the community and the Mata Hati Foundation are doing tree planting in the Lok Bontar Proboscis Ecotourism area," he said.
