The 72-hour nonstop driver's license (SIM) service by the South Kalimantan Regional Police's Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) at the moment of the 14th haul of Guru Sekumpul set a record of the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI).
"Thank God, SIM services for three days non-stop went smoothly with 1,115 people applying for SIM extension," said Head of Sub-Directorate of Regident Ditlantas Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Afri Darmawan.
The MURI record award is planned to be handed over at the peak of the Millennial Road Safety Festival in the area of South Kalimantan Provincial Government Office Car Free Day on Jalan Trikora Banjarbaru on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Afri representing the Director of Traffic of the South Kalimantan Regional Police Sr Comr Muji Ediyanto expressed his gratitude to all officers who have worked hard to carry out service tasks which of course drained energy.
SIM A (for car) and SIM C (for motorcycle) services that lasted nonstop for three days from Saturday (9/3) starting at 09.00 and ended on Tuesday (3/3) at 9:00 a.m. took place at the yard of Juang Martapura Building, Banjar Regency.
Ditlantas operates 10 mobile SIM service cars from all City and District Traffic Police Units with 30 operators, 5 personnel of SIM Subdit Regident, 5 health service personnel from Bid Dokkes and 3 officers from BRI banking.
The majority of the Haul Guru Sekumpul pilgrims in Martapura invaded the SIM service which was opened specifically at the special moment of the biggest religious event in South Kalimantan which attracted up to 1.5 million people to attend.
The applicant simply shows the original SIM and original electronic ID when registering, then the photo and SIM are printed. Health costs were free, so the rates paid by the community were cheaper than regular SIM services.
