Barabai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Central Hulu Sungai (HST) which is vulnerable to flooding is in dire need of a flood detector. At present there is only one as aid from the Central Government.

"The flood detector since 2017 has been installed in the river in Alat Village, Hantakan Subdistrict," said Ali Fahmi, Acting Head of the HST Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) in Barabai, Tuesday (12/2).

According to Ali, ideally, in the HST rivers, it has nine flood detection devices, so that when high rainfall is immediately detected the potential for flooding.
