Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The 1003 Kandangan Military Command (Kodim) have renovated the Nurul Huda Mushalla (worship facility smaller than mosque) in Paring Agung Village, Sungai Raya, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), South Kalimantan.
The 1003 Kandangan Military Commander (Dandim) Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Suhardi Aji Sriwijayanto in Paring Agung, Tuesday, said this activity involved all danramil (rayon military commanders) and staff officers mingling with the local community to dismantle the mushalla to be renovated, such as ceilings, walls, and restrooms.
"Mutual cooperation (gotong royong) is a cultural heritage of our ancestors and must be preserved. Hopefully the gotong royong to renovate the mushalla will become a field of worship for all of us," he said,
Mushalla Nurul Huda renovation in Paring Agung Village was the first to be carried out. Dandim said, there would be another prayer facility renovation to held in the HSS area.
The Paring Village Chief Agung Ramlianor said that he was very happy and proud to see the mutual cooperation shown by the community and the TNI seemed to get along well to establish a place of worship
