Amuntai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar handed over the Adipura award to Regent North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Abdul Wahid at the Adipura and Green Leadership award for regional heads and DPRD in Manggala Wanabakti Building, Ministry of Environment, Jakarta, Monday (1/14 )


The HSU District Government, South Kalimantan, received the Adipura award for improving performance in managing the urban area during the 2017-2018 period.

The award ceremony was attended by Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla. While from HSU, he was accompanied by the Head of the Housing, Settlement and Environment Agency (Disperkim LH) Rusnaidy and the agency's Head of the Hygiene and Environmental Capacity Enhancement Najeriansyah.

HSU Regent Abdul Wahid thanked the community, especially the HSU cleaning workers, thanks to the hard work the award could be achieved.

"Thanks to cooperation and cohesiveness, all parties participated in winning the Adipura award," Abdul Wahid said.

Wahid expressed the Vice President's hope that this achievement in the environmental field would show evidence of improving environmental quality in their respective regions.

"The government is expected to be an example and a stimulant for the community to care and maintain the environment," Wahid said.

Head of Disperkim LH added that efforts to preserve the environment cannot be handled by his agency alone. It is necessary to collaborate with various agencies to do it.
