Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Regent H Achmad Fikry said as a reward for the Padang Batung Subdistrict's anniversary, the district government in the near future will carry out infrastructure development activities ranging from widening the Tabihi road to Telaga Langsat.
He said the widening of the road is estimated to cost more than IDR 2 billion. In addition, the replacement of bridges on the Sungai Paniungan with a fund of IDR 3.6 billion, replacing two bridges in Muara Pipi'i with IDR 7.6 billion in funding and upgrading of the Mandapai - Madang road with a fund of IDR 6 billion.
"We will work on the construction of the Paniungan and Pipi'i bridges as soon as possible, and it is expected to be completed this year so that we can proceed to the next stage, namely road upgrading," he said in remarks at the local sub-district office's yard on Thursday
Padang Batung Subdistrict is a bamboo producing area, according to the name Padang Batung which is taken from the name of bamboo, namely Bambu Batung and as a struggling area.
The government will also build a roundabout at the Karang Jawa Village intersection. The roundabout architecture will be made with bamboo and anchor models as a symbol of historical struggle so that it becomes an icon in Padang Batung.
According to him, during the leadership of H. Akhmad Suriani as the Head of Padang Batung Subdistrict, the administration of the government went very well, and the community approach was also extraordinary.
"Hopefully the ways of approaching of the Head of Padang Batung Subdistrict Suryani and friends in Padang Batung are an example for us all," he said.
