Balangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Some youth belong to Forum Komunitas Hijau (FKH) or Green Community Forum of Sanggam Balangan hopes the access road to Tayak Waterfall, Uren Village, Halong Sub-district, will be improved.

Tayak Waterfall is worthy of being the tourist destination of South Kalimantan, because of its natural conditions in the Meratus Mountains. It has multilevel waterfalls, with clear water, full of distinctive vegetation.

It's just that to get to that location it needs full of struggle because of the damaged road conditions, such as the road from Uren Village to Hampang Village several large hollow roads found, so the car often sink.

Not to mention the access of the trail between Hampang village to the Tayak waterfall which must be taken about one hour by foot. The condition is very unfit for a road to tourist attractions.

FKH hopes that Balangan Government through relevant agencies can improve the access of the road. so that the Tayak waterfall is more popular as a tourist attraction in South Kalimantan that will continue to be promoted to various parts of the archipelago and the world.

While the tour guide for Hampang village, Tanjang (30 years) admitted that the village tourism manager had submitted an application to the Balangan Tourism Service, and was promised there would be road repairs in 2017. But until now the repair of the trail has not been realized.

"Unless there is a public bathhouse (MCK) construction in the location that is said to be done by the Tourism Office," said Tanjang.

The Tayak waterfall holds the potential for nature tourism in a very beautiful waterfall, in addition to Mayandar Waterfall, Tumati, and other locations.

It is said that this natural waterfall was first discovered by local villagers in 2003.

Tayak Waterfall is a waterfall which has a height of about six meters with several levels, the lowest level being the highest. It has uneven rocks forming like a ladder, so it becomes easy to climb up to the top level.
