Head of the Class II Immigration Office of TPI Batulicin Gelora Nusantara here Wednesday said, the increase in passport requests was due to the large number of people performing Umrah and Hajj worship.

"In making passports, people now do not have to bother waiting in line at the Immigration Office. They just need to register online by visiting the immigration website and following the procedures and instructions," he said.

He explained the superiority of the program is that regardless of the number of people who want to register, the applicant does not need to wait in line at the Immigration Office, so it does not take much time.

Regarding immigration services for foreigners in the framework of granting and extending residence permits, the Immigration Immigration Office in 2018 provides 113 residence permit documents to visit. When compared to 2017, which amounted to 146, there was a decrease of 33 documents.

But for the provision of limited residence permits, there was an increase from 69 in 2017 to 107. For permanent residence permits, there were only two given to residents of Australia and the Philippines, which were the unification of the families of Indonesian wives.

During 2018 there was no investigation into immigration crime. One of the factors that a lot of modus operandi in the field does not meet the elements of the Immigration Criminal Article.

As for administrative measures, Immigration has deported seven foreign nationals, three Chinese citizens, three Malaysians, and one Thai, who abused their residence permit.
